Dear readers,

Out

Out-

It would not be good if there was a black out. A typical day in my opinion requires lots of electricity.  Like this-  I get up in the morning and try to turn the light on.  But when I get up it is freezing cold!  I reach to turn the light on but it does not work.  Shivering I walk down the hall to were the heater is.  The screen is blank.  I go to turn the kettle on for some tea.  That doesn’t work either! I run around the house trying to make all the electrical stuff work but it doesn’t.  Then I realized that it must be a black out!  I woke up my mum and told her the condition.  She wasn’t surprised.  For breakfast it’s warm yogurt and cereal without milk because the fridge isn’t working either.  Later on it luckily turned into a hot sunny day so we didn’t have to worry about heat or light being cold and dark.  But after a few hours it becametoo hot and bright.  Now I begin to wish that we had air-conditioning.  Phew!  The day passes and I am hot and tired.  I go to bed longing for a shower for my sweaty body.  How I would hate to have a day without electricity!

Everything is New!

Spring! I’m so happy that it’s finely here! The snows melting, the birds are singing, and the wacky annoying woodpecker across the street has come back! (He’s kind of like an alarm clock you know.) I wonder if he’s edible. If he is I hope he lasts ‘till thanksgiving. I know it doesn’t sound appetizing but I wonder if woodpecker stew tastes good. Anyways, everything is changing and I l-i-k-e it! Everyday I’m biking to school and today I was early and I was very proud of it! The ski hill is closed and they are shooting a movie called “The Hot Tub Portal” Two people I know are in it as background. One of them is sitting right beside me- Morgan. ( I very dislike him ) Today is my favourite day because it is- THURSDAY!!! That is my favourite day of the week because I have library, blogs, and everything always turns out right today.

Nessie

Nessie-

She’s one of the most popular monsters ever.  Infact, she’s my favourite mythical creature!  It’s

said that she lives in Scotland, under the choppy waters of the Dark Door.  (There’s a picture of the

Dark Door right there)  I’ve also heard that there is only one water horse (that’s a posh name for

Nessie)  in the world at a time, so when the first water horse is dying, it lays an egg and then buries

itself in the sand at the bottom of the ocean, and dies.  The new baby hatches and then carries of.

You no what, I’m actually going to wright a poem about Nessie-   Dark threatening waters, luring

Nessie forward.  She’s hungry, very hungry.

Math-A-Monia

Posted on February 5th, 2009 in Uncategorized by webkinz5

Hey guys!

Nothing much has been happening in Fernie lately.  Just a few avalanches and a few accidental deaths caused by some runaway snow a.k.a avalanche.  In school yesterday I think I caught Math-A-Monia.  Mrs. Perris our math teacher gave us a math game but when it was my turn to stand up and recite an automatic math problem, I started to shake and my knees turned to lead, and I took form into a quivering, uncontrollable mass.  It never had happened before and Mrs. Perris had to tell me to sit down with my cold water bottle placed on my forehead and for the rest of the day I was half-laughing, half-crying moron speaking nonsense baby words.  It lasted through swim club, but for some reason, it instantly stopped after I had walked outside!!  See ya later…

Fernie Snow

Hey guys, it’s me again.  Guess what?  It’s snowing in Fernie!  I just can’t wait until Christmas!  Aaaaaand, it’s only six more days from now ’till Christmas break!  I’ve already got my Christmas tree up.  And theres even some presents underneath it!  Usually my friend Gabriella holds the Christmas party at her house but she moved to Ross land so we have to hold it now.  Last year my friend Mira and her family came over for Christmas dinner.  My mom made this special flaming Christmas pudding.  It had money in it and she actually set it on fire!!! ( I accidentally choked on a quarter)  Every year for the Christmas tree we decorate it really well.  Mira doesn’t celebrate Christmas though.  Instead, she does Hanakah.  Infact, she might come over this  Christmas as usual.  Bye!

Fernie

white pass fernie ski hill snowy mountains in backgroundFernie- In my opinion, the greatest town in the world!  Wait, no, the greatest town in the whole universe!  I used to live in England, but after my parents divorced I moved to Canada.  We moved through 2 lodges, and 3 houses before we found the perfect house down in the Airport.  ( We really don’t live on an airplane, it’s just a name in Fernie! )  Our town is famous for the great Fernie Fire, and most of the town was burned down and many died and were left homeless, not to mention over 100 people seriously injured.  I t was horrible.  I ‘m really glad I wasn’t there when it happened!  I can’t wait for it to start snowing, so I can go skiing and there won’t be any chances of the Fernie Fire number 2!  See ya later…

Halloween

Hi guys,

Tomorrow is Halloween!  My folks and me always celebrate Halloween.  I mean it’s like my sisters favourite time of year!  Apart from Christmas. And Easter.  And their birthday. But that’s not the point. The point is that Halloween tomorrow!

I’m going to dress up as Indiana Jones!  This year I’m going to try to raid the whole town.  I just can’t wait to come home with 12674847566 pillowcases of candy from trick-or-treating.  I’m going to be sick for a year.  Last Saturday I went the Soopktacular at Fort Steele Heritage Town.  I went into the zombie graveyard haunted house ALL BY MYSELF.  If you want to know the truth my sisters ran out screaming because of a dancing skeleton!  Happy Halloween…

The Beginning

Posted on October 2nd, 2008 in Uncategorized by webkinz5

Hi, I’m India.  I am 9 years old and I live in Fernie, B.C.  I have 2 younger sisters.  In other words, 2 human hurricanes!  Most of the time while I’m not in school, I’m cooped up in my room reading a book or writing a story.  A week ago, my bike was stolen.  But I got a new one luckily.  Tomorrow I’m going to have a salsa birthday party!  Yesterday, I was going to get a pencil from upstairs but I was running so fast that I accidentally ran into straight into the door.  By the way, I am very active and I am sometimes a goony bird.  I’ve got lots of friends but I’m usually hanging out with my buddy Aspyn.  That’s all folks, until then, I’ll see you later…
